QUIKCRETE
CHLORIDE FREE HIGH STRENGTH REPAIR AND PATCHING COMPOUND
PRODUCT
QUIKCRETE is a lasl-setlmg. high strength.ready In use repair material lor lung lasiing. durable repairs and overlay of Highways. Bridges. I'olholcs. Industrial tloors. I anal lining repairs and other concrete repairs. It cab he mixed, transported and placed using conventional equipment and standard methods. Alter hatching. OUIKCRETE eonerctc cures rapidly to support normal high way traffic in lour to six hours. High early strength gain is essential in the prec as t/p re stressed eonerctc industry. QUIKCRETE concrete permits re-use of forms without costly steam curing.
SPECIFICATION:
QUIKCRETE is a modi lied Portland Cement hasc compound that incorporate many years of research and practical experience. The material shall have a Portland Cement base to more closely math the performance characteristics of concrete in place and shall achieve a minimum compressive strength of 200kg.Cm2 in twelve hours and lle.xural strength of4()kg.Cm2 ir: 24 hours a 2.-'V. The compressive strength increases progressively and it reaches to 400kgy'Cni2 in 7 days under normal curing or by application of curing compound CUREWEUL-WB'. The product has long storage life.
No chlorides arc added in the compound during the manufacturing process.
PROPERTIES:
(1) Fast Setting : It has initial set in 15 minutes and final set in 25 minutes. The working time should therefore be adjusted accordingly. The strength development begins early so work can be opened to traffic quickly with confidence and safely. The product cures like normal concrete when submerged under work.
(2) High Early Strength : Average compressive strength is more than 101) Kg.cm2 in six to eight hours and more than 400 Kg.Cm2 in 24 hours.
(3) Flexural Strength : QUIKCRETE has high ilexural strength, more than 40 Kg/Cm2 in 24 hours, more than IOOKg.Cm2 in 3 days, assuring long term during ability of the material used.
(4) Bond Strength : QUIKCRETE will bond to almost any surface, especially concrete. It has rum-shrink properly. A
slight expansion assures a tight bond. The shrinkage is + 0.40%. Bond strength is 3.04 N.mm2 which is sufficient for M-40 grade concrete.
(5) Compatability : QUIKCRETE is Portland Cement base so repairs are accomplished with similar materials.
APPLICATION :
I he repair patches or the holes should be cleaned and only solid concrete should remain and air-cleaned to remove all loose particles, '['he patches should be dampened with water but puddles of water should be removed. Alternatively BONO-AID. Bonding Agenl film should he applied on old surfaces.

MIXING : QUIKCRETR compound should be mixed by placing the properly measured amount of water in the mixer, adding the compound and mixing no more than 3-4 minutes. Small batches can be hand mixed in a pan or tray. The working lime of QUIKCRK'I'i; is approximately 10-20 minutes and is influenced by temperative conditions. COLD water should be used where the ambient temperature is more than 30°C.
PLACING : The hole should be filled by placing the patching material full-depth from one end of the hole to the other consolidate the rapid repair product as it is placed in the hole, leveling and finishing as the filling progresses so that the material does not set before the surface is pmperK prepared. Alter application of curing compound the patch area can be opened to traffic in 4 to 5 hours.
PACKING : Polylined 25 Kg bags.
NOTE : While applying QUIKCRETE on objectionable surface first apply prime coat of BOND-AID without dilution. After the film of Bond-Aid is dry- apply QUIKCRETE patching compound. Apply immediately CUREWELL-WB curing compound over the repaired surface to avoid any hair cracks.
